About Winking Catfish
Our Philosophy
As a batik artist, I've always worked with molten waxes and dyes, but after years of creative career, my body had a different idea. I developed a sensitivity to candles, waxes, and fragrances. This was a professional and personal setback, but it also became a new beginning.
I started exploring non-toxic, eco-friendly alternatives and now all my batiks are made with a combination of soy and beeswax.
Unable to tolerate commercial candles, I began to create my own using the same trusted soy waxes and fragrances I knew to be safe. This research inspired me to develop the Winking Catfish product line—scents, candles, and diffusers that don't compromise on quality or my health.
What started as a personal project is now a family partnership with my son. All our products are handcrafted in small batches in my studio with the highest quality, eco- and pet-friendly ingredients.

Sustainability
ALL NATURAL SOY I use only all-natural, high-quality, clean renewable soy wax. No petroleum by-products.
NO DYES When you see other brightly colored candle companies, even if they're 100% soy, be suspicious. The colors and dyes, when heated, can be toxic. Winking Catfish never dyes their candles. What you're burning is 100% clean and renewable soy.
SUSTAINABLE LABELS - Our labels are simple. We harness the power of vegetable-based biodegradable inks and repurposed labels. We rise above printer inks and commercial labels. Each label is carefully hand-stamped, a labor of love that may take a little more time and effort, but ignites a movement towards a waste-free and pollution-free world
